American Craft Beer Week starts Monday and runs through Sunday, May 22. So today’s Beer Bites celebrates, umm, celebrations of “The Mother Of All Beer Weeks” that are taking place in Florida. Click on the “Information” links to find out more.
The Brewers Association is compiling events on a searchable calendar, but here’s a list of some of the highlights in Florida. If you have something going on that I missed, feel free to mention it in the comments section.
- Engine 15 Brewing Co. in Jacksonville will offer food specials paired with craft beers throughout the week. Information.
- Also in Jacksonville, Intuition Ale will present a Beer 101 seminar with light food pairings on Thursday night. Information.
- The Jacksonville Craft and Import Beer Festival will be Friday. Information.
- Cigar City Brewing in Tampa plans a slew of events for ACBW, including a scavenger hunt, a beer release and a chance to learn about making beer from one of its brewers. Information.
- On Tuesday, Tampa-based Pepin Distributing will put on the inaugural Brews with Attitude festival at its Hospitality Centre. Information.
- Big River Grille & Brewing Works at Disney’s Boardwalk Resort is joining with Backroom Cigar Corp. in Celebration next Friday for a special beer and cigar event at Backroom. Information.
- Swamp Head in Gainesville announced a schedule of daily ACBW events. Information.
