I’m briefly coming off my blogging hiatus to post the breaking news that the ABC Fine Wine & Spirits store in Lake Mary has installed a 12-tap growler filling system.
I found out via Twitter from Steve Crowley, the store’s in-house beer consultant.
As far as I know, this is the first growler station outside of a taproom in Florida since Tipple’s Brews in Gainesville in 2010 started doing it, but had to shut down after “verbal warnings” from the Florida Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco that it was violating Florida’s beverage laws.
Will try to have more details on this soon.
The store is at 980 Rinehart Road in Lake Mary, just off Interstate 4 north of Orlando.
This is great news. I wish they’d post a menu or what’s available somewhere.
I was wondering how they were getting away with it…but hopefully they will be able to continue with it.
