For more than 20 years, World Beer Festivals, produced by All About Beer Magazine, have brought the products of international, national and local breweries to the masses, and have benefited local organizations at the same time. In fact, the stated mission is “to expose communities to a wide range of beers and to brewers, along with educational opportunities, to increase their appreciation of beer,” according to its website.
But until now, beer lovers have had to travel to communities such as Durham or Raleigh in North Carolina – or Columbia, South Carolina – to partake in the festivals.
Beer in Florida is proud to be among the first to announce that World Beer Festivals is bringing the show to St. Petersburg in September, and I’m even more thrilled to say that I’ll be doing a presentation during both sessions of the festival.
Here is the just released announcement:
All About Beer Magazine’s World Beer Festival produced by Three Zebras Entertainment is proud to announce it is coming to St. Petersburg Coliseum in St. Petersburg, Florida for the very first time on Saturday, September 22, 2012!

We are very excited to announce Gerard Walen, founder and owner of beerinflorida.com and editor of roadtripsforbeer.com will be one of our guest speakers. “I am excited that the World Beer Festival is bringing their event to St. Petersburg, Florida, I am especially eager to be a part of it and helping to spread the word about Florida’s craft beer scene” says Gerard Walen.
