Beer in Florida serves as an advocate and source of information for the state’s burgeoning craft beer scene and for beer tourists planning trips to the Sunshine State.

I founded the site in early 2010, and using it as a springboard, traveled in 2013-14 to 66 of the state’s breweries as part of the research (the fun part) that went into writing my first book, Florida Breweries (Stackpole Books April 2014). You can learn more about the book here.

This site includes a map and list of breweries that is updated about every 2-3 months, videos, reviews and previews of new breweries, beer festivals, beer weeks and more.

Here is the contact information page for Beer in Florida.

Remember: Drink Local. Drink Florida.

Cheers!

    Hi Gerard,

Would you know which breweries in South Florida offer contract brewing for international craft beers? I cannot find it anywhere. Thanks in advance and salud!

I recently moved to Florida (the Orlando Area) and I just found your site which is a great resource for the Florida Newbie… I’d love to grab a beer sometime and talk beer blogging.

If you’re in the Orlando area, there are tons of places to get a good craft beer with a big emphasis on Florida beers, obviously do a tour of Orlando Brewing and grab a beer, the Rogue Pub has a HUGE selection and a great vibe, and Gnarly Barley is always a good time. Have fun!

Love the idea! I share this hobby as well. I was wondering if you had to pick the most unique brew pub/small micro brew in the state which would it be and why?

Hmm, that’s a tough one, especially since I have not visited all of them … yet. One that does not get much notice is Mount Dora Brewing and the Rocking Rabbit Brewery (same business). http://www.mountdorabrewing.com/home.html. It’s housed in a 1920s-era building in north Lake County, and their lineup of beers is really solid. They are sold only on premise. I’ve only been there once, but I need to return and write about it.
