Barley Mow Brewing completes new brewery

BMBC_Lanternlogo_Name_BlackBarley Mow Brewing Company has announced the completion of the expansion into its new 25,000-square-foot facility at 521 Commerce Drive, Largo. It has started brewing on the brand-new 30-barrel brewhouse that was fabricated in St. Petersburg by BrewFab LLC.

Four core brands will be brewed on the new system – Maven Nitro Milk Stout, Quackalope IPA, The Unkindness Black Ale, and Selkie Belgian Rye Pale Ale, along with seasonal and limited releases. One-offs and seasonals will continue to be brewed in the Barley Mow tasting room at 518 W. Bay Drive in Largo.

To celebrate, Barley Mow has scheduled four events around the Tampa Bay area in December:

“We wanted to create unique events that fit with our image and philosophy while still being approachable, “ said Thomas Barris, Barley Mow’s chief marketing officer. “We believe that our beer is for everyone. Our entire staff believes in our mission statement ‘Simple. Honest. Craft,’ and we want that to reflect in all aspects of our brands and brewery.”

Unkindness Black Stout is great stuff. It’s like eating caramels and drinking black stout at the same time.
