Cigar City Brewing sets date for Hunahpu’s Day 2013

One of the most anticipated beer releases from a Florida brewery will happen March 9, 2013, when Tampa’s Cigar City Brewery releases its coveted Hunahpu’s Imperial Stout. The brewery has set up a bare-bones web page for the event; details will be added as the date nears.

Demand for this award-winning imperial stout aged on cacao nibs, Madagascar vanilla beans, Ancho chilis, Pasilla chilis and cinnamon grows each year. About 5,000 folks streamed through the gates during last year’s release, and the bottle limit had to be reduced from three to two per person to meet demand. (For reference, the limit in 2011 was four bottles).
